REEFNET WILD SALMON | NETTLES FARM | REVIEWS

A welcome retreat for travelers since 1910, the Inn is owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Riley Starks and Judy Olsen who breathed new life into the resort and revived the tradition of farm resort in 2001. Riley and Judy have continued The Willow’s tradition of cozy accommodations, while recreating the kind of regional experience usually found only when traveling in Europe. This is achieved, in part, by growing and serving foods native to the region on their nearby Nettle’s Farm. The farm supplies them with fresh, organic ingredients including produce, chicken, eggs and fruit. Salmon is caught by Riley's reefnetter in nearby Legoe Bay, and our chef's outstanding meals are always accompanied by a stellar wine list featuring small, mostly organic or biodynamic estate producers.

In 2005 we were proud to be included in a book called: Renewing the Countryside Washington (www.renewingthecountryside.org), a series of books that celebrate those people working to make a difference in their communities by adhering to creative, sustainable practices in the face of trends favoring cultural homogeneity.
