Wine Dinner Thursdays
Each month,
relax and enjoy a delicious meal and memorable evening with new and old friends. We invite celebrity chefs and award winning winemakers to create an intimate meal you will remember for a long time.
"The Wine Dinners take on a life of their own. The guests really seem to enjoy spending an evening with friends, new and old, and getting into the spirit of good friends, good food, and good wine." JoAnn Bowman
2007–2008 Season
Thursday, Oct 25
Our guest chef will be John Neumark from Sarafina in Seattle. He will collaborate with his friend and winemaker Jean Paul from Cameron Wines of Dundee Oregon.
Thursday, November 1
Our guest chef will be John Ash, from Sonoma, longtime chef at Fetzer's, and now of John Ash and Co. He will be both chef and winemaker for this special Sauvignon blanc dinner.
Thursday, December 13
Our long time chef, Craig Miller, will work with Lummi Island's own winery, Legoe Bay Wines. Karl Malling and Susie Wirth will pour their wines. This is sure to be a highlight of the season, as Craig has demonstrated his ability to match the wines with his cuisine every year in what many call the best dinners of the season. This dinner will be an all Lummi Island dinner, with absolutely everything from the island (within reason, of course)
...........................Tentative.................................
Thursday, February 21
Greg Higgins, owner/chef of Higgins in Portland, will work with Adam Campbell of Elk Cove Wines.
Thursday, March 20
Holly Smith, chef/owner of Cafe Juanita in Kirkland, will return for another exciting dinner. She will be joined by Kay and Clay of Chinook Wines, in Prosser.
Thursday, April 17
John Sundstrom, chef/owner of Lark in Seattle, will return, after winning the coveted James Beard award last May. He will be joined by Doug Tunell and Melissa Mills of Brickhouse Wines.
Dinners are four-course and prepared by our chef or a guest chef. They begin with sparkling wine and hors d'oeuvres around the fire at 6, seating for dinner at 7. Fine wines from selected vineyards will be paired with each course in a slow procession of gourmet delight. Price is $100 plus tax and gratuity. Guests are limited to 44.
Add An Overnight Stay in the B&B any night (space available) for only $125 more. (The Cottage and Guest House are extra. The chef and winemaker usually share the Guest House). Since the winemakers and chefs will be staying at the inn, you may be able to sit around the fire and learn more about them.
• Great gift idea! Purchase a package and request gift certificate vouchers to give away as gifts for any or all of the dates.
