Join us for Winter Break fun. From Saturday, December 26, until Wednesday, December 30, we will be hosting events around the fire, from 4pm to 5:30pm. Admission of $9 includes a glass of wine or hot toddy.
Dinner will be available every night at 6:30. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday dinners will be rustic 3 course prix fixe menus at $30.
Sunday, December 27... Children's author Nina Laden will speak about what it is like to be a successful author/illustrator, and what it takes to get published. She will be signing books as well, so bring yours along or purchase them at the Inn.
Monday, December 28... Creative director and writer David O'Hare will speak about what it takes to get a screenplay accepted, and why advertising matters. David is a veteran of many successful national advertising campaigns, was nominated for an Emmy Award, the first ever for a commercial, and writes screenplays in San Francisco.
Tuesday, December 29... Amanda Eurich, European history scholar, will talk about early European nation building, how tribes joined to become states, and the relevance to our mission in Afghanistan. She teaches at WWU, and is an internationally known expert on Henry IV and medieval French history. She is married to local wine scholar Laurent Martel..
Wednesday, December 30... Judy Arntsen, from Dickerson Wines, will present some festive wines from Dickerson's amazing portfolio. Wines by the bottle will be for sale.
Thursday, December 31... New Year's Eve Party! Join us for a our New Year's Eve themed dinner: "An Italian New Year's Eve," with 5 courses and wines from around the country. Laurent Martel of Noble Wines will be introducing each wine. Prosecco at 7, around the fire, and dinner at 8. After dinner music by Scrub Hubner. Dancing?? It's up to you! Champagne until midnight... All for $125 per person.
